“People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing that's why we recommend it daily.” — Zig Ziglar
Psychology Today I think gives the best answer. The time it takes to make or break a habit depends on the individual.
The point is to get to a place of creating possibilities one has to be willing to step outside their norm and create new opportunities. Which in some cases requires a new set of habits, daily activities, and more over a new way of thinking and perceiving the world.
They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result! They are right.
Realizing possibilities are the easy part. Getting there - dealing with ourselves and getting motivated - is the hard part!
But then again - that is just my Opinion.

This post has motivated ME to do a bit more today!
I wonder if there's an inherent difference in neurochemical profiles of those who are routinely capable of self-motivation, and those who are not. It would be interesting if studies are done to look into this.
