thInQ: Just the Facts Jack

The truth is fickle.
It is a hard thing to nail down.
Did you know that the word is actually a noun?

Bit of a rhyme it seems on this sunny day here in Winnipeg.

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the truth means:

the body of real things, events, and facts
the state of being the case
a transcendent fundamental or spiritual reality
a judgment, proposition, or idea that is true or accepted as true
the body of true statements and propositions the property (as of a statement) of being in accord with fact or reality fidelity to an original or to a standard
sincerity in action, character, and utterance
    Christian Science: GOD
    in accordance with fact

After reading that definition it now seems I need a lawyer to continue on with this discussion.

Ahhh I'll take my chances.

Recently, I spent time pondering the word truth. It seems the truth has become, by no fault of its own, a philosophical and political merry-go-round of the never-ending game Survivor. And, in the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, the truth has somehow magically become equated and linked to heightened intolerance and extreme manipulation.

Bitter? No, sorry I am not.

Just weary of being told how to think based on someone's interpretation of their truth. We all witness or are a part of this experience from time to time. There are characters in our lives who attempt to bend everyone around the world in which "they" dwell as king or queen of composite island.

Blame our humanity for this conundrum, we are incredibly complex beings.

Here is an example, if ten people witness a car accident, there will be ten different versions of the truth of how that accident happened Our truths become fogged up within our own soup of spirituality, biology, psychology, history, environment, life experiences, emotions, and levels of consciousness. These, among other factors, play a role in our personal interpretation of what is true. In the case of witnessing a car accident. It is up to the investigators to practice discernment and gather facts to get to the bottom of what really happened.

And that is just it. Where does one go when the truth isn’t all it seems to be? My new mantra is Just the facts Jack and most importantly what is your factual intent

By focusing on factual intentions one has to stop and actually think before acting, reacting, and perhaps even typing. You have to feel out what is going on within you and most importantly you have to verify what is real.

Focusing on the facts and factual intent means less time wading around the emotional paddling pool drinking cranberry juice and ginger-ale discerning everyone’s case for their version of the truth. Focusing on facts allows for manipulation to take a walk, the Baloney Sandwich gets tossed in the garbage, the negotiation is negated, and the ego’s heroic journey of victimization is given a good wallop and required to stand down. In other words, dramarama be gone.

There is a heaviness with the word truth. By focusing on facts there is liberation.

Facts and factual intent improve communication, creates trust, and interestingly one’s stamina level begins to change. Suddenly, with these lightened up and refocused energies opportunities begin to appear for you the creator that you really are.

And that is nailing down the truth.

Song in My Head: Wavin' Flag

But look how they treat us, make us believers
We fight their battles, then they deceive us....

When I get older
I will be stronger
They'll call me freedom
Just like a waving flag...
